Join the inventors of steel surface, magnetic crawler technology of VertiDrive BV in an exciting and dynamic commercial role, right in the heart of Rotterdam’s makers district, the former RDM area.

VertiDrive’s robotic products and solutions are perfectly aligned with current economical and ecological trends and the company and its solutions specifically adhere to the UN Sustainable Development goals 3, 8, 9, 13 and 14.

You will have a leadership role to develop, implement and manage the overall commercial strategy of the company by setting challenging objectives and quantifiable and realistic goals in a fast-paced environment of applying and selling pioneering surface maintenance robot solutions globally for a growing number of existing and new applications in industries such as Marine, Shipping, Offshore, Tank Storage and (Petro/-) Chemical industries.

Having developed world-leading products in these market segments, VertiDrive’s challenge is to now scale-up and implement innovative solutions, partnerships and other commercial relationships. globally, in order to double its sales year over year during the coming decade.

You are to develop new (B2B) leads, content and value based, by proactively reaching out to the key decision makers at the companies concerned, being maintenance and cleaning (sub) contractors and equally important, the ultimate asset owners who ultimately prescribe financial, health & safety and environmental objectives. You are capable to shape the solution, quantify the robotic solution value, ROI and implementation roadmap, exactly matching the customers’ context and goals.

Installation, training, hardware settings optimization, commissioning and acceptance testing often are part of the overall proposition and therefore frequent communication to the service & installation technicians and the product development department are also an important part of the role.

You are able to speak the language of Robotics, Automation, Maintenance, Contracting, Marine, Tank Storage and Petrochemical industries’ players and effectively quantify the VertiDrive proposition to them.


  • Engineering degree or equivalent level through experience or education;
  • Familiar with VertiDrive’s core markets;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Dutch and preferably an additional language;
  • Conversion focused;
  • Analytical – capable to understand technologies, performance metrics & target industries’ insights;
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, organize, and prioritize work.
