Who am I?

My name is Damian van Dam and part of the VertiDrive team since December 2020 as an Inside Sales Representative. Born and raised in the beautiful city of Rotterdam but currently living in Zevenbergen, just south of Rotterdam.


My Background

During my studies in International Business Management, I did an internship at an oil company in Dubai and a minor in risk- and investment management. After my studies, I started to work in direct marketing where I had my first experience in sales, a field for which I have created a passion. My most recent professional experience was in sales in (sub)contracting for industrial projects including ship-and-tank maintenance. This is where I developed my commercial skills and technical knowledge and where the link with VertiDrive can be found.


Me and VertiDrive

I am proud to have started in the role of Inside Sales Representative at VertiDrive. What attracted me the most to VertiDrive is the innovative character of the company and the solution-based thinking combined with a hands-on mentality, typical for a Rotterdam-based company. In this role, I can use my previous experiences and obtained skills to live up to the challenges that are coming with helping our clients in the best possible way. This practically means that I am not only “just” selling robots but try to guide our clients through the process of determining which of our solutions can add value to their current operation or future projects.


My goals

My goals are to improve myself by acquiring as much knowledge as possible about surface treatment and robotics and building long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. In this way, I want to make a difference by strengthening Vertidrive’s position as a global leader in surface treatment automation!
